I just wanted to thank everyone who made it the San Francisco Greek Festival at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral last week. The food, music and the Greek dancing was great!

This is Greek festival season so I am sorry for the short notice but I been encouraged by several members of the Meetup to organize a Meetup for the upcoming Castro Valley Greek Festival. We will indeed be having a Meetup event for those Meetup memebers in the East Bay.

It should be another fun festival, great Greek food, good Greek music and members from our Meetup group; what else does one need to have an outstanding time?

I just wanted to thank everyone who made it to last month's Meetup. We had a great turnout at Mezes. A good time was had by everyone who attended. The dishes that were tasted at Mezes were excellent! There were a number of new faces which made for a great Meetup.

We are returning once again to Cafe Greco in San Francisco to where the Meetup had originally started for September's Meetup. Have a cup of coffee and engaged yourself in a conversation with other members of the Meetup perhaps in Greek.

It's always a good time to meet old friends and make new ones from the Parea. Perhaps a chance to practice your Greek as well. Also if you haven't made it to a Meeup yet or recently active; this would be an excellent opportunity to attend a Meetup!

Every third Thursday of the month there is a Greek Night at Parea Wine Bar. This will be the location of the July Meetup. This month it happens to fall on July 16, 2009.

The band playing is called Fotia, which means fire in Greek. There is a five dollar cover charge. In Greek culture it is very common for a group of friends called a parea to meet on a regular basis to have fun, talk about life and just have a good time. Many Greekophiles love Greece because of its fun lifestyle, hospitality and friendly environment. In Greek Culture, friends, family and having a balance in life in is very important and taken very seriously.

It's a good chance to meet old friends and make new ones. Also if you haven't made it to a Meeup yet or recently active; what better way to start off!

I just wanted to thank everyone who made it to Cafe Greco in North Beach for last month's Meetup. A good time was had by everyone who attended.

We are returning once again to the Delaney Street Screening Room for the Sixth Annual San Francisco Greek Film Festival to view the screening of Bang Bank. We are also planning to meet after the movie for something to eat and drink if you are interested.

I just wanted to thank everyone who made it to Ti Piacera for last month's Meetup. A good time was had by everyone who attended.

Thanks again to Eleni Poulos for providing us a very informative lesson in Greek dance. It was a lot of fun!

March's Meetup will be dedicated to reaching out to members of our Meetup group who are generally not able to make it to San Francisco or live on the Peninsula/South & East Bay. I will be offering the hospitality of my home in true Greek fashion for this Meetup. Everyone is welcome so please feel free to bring friends and family members.

Also, if there is anyone who would like to carpool please contact me and the Mountain View Caltrain station is a short walk to my home.

This event will be a Greek pot luck so please say what dish you are bringing when you RSVP so everyone will have an idea of will be on the menu for the evening.
