Meet other local people who speak and are interested in practicing modern Greek, discuss the progress of the Greek basketball and football teams, or any other phil-hellenic interest. Enjoy some olives, cheese, krasi and pita bread, washed down with 3,000 years of unmatched history (or ouzo if you're into cliches)!

Hope folks had a good Halloween, and of course a good Oxi Day on October 28th. A few of us celebrated Oxi Day at our MeetUp last week.

With the holidays we have to adjust our MeetUp schedule. So instead of meeting on Thanksgiving our next event is scheduled for Thursday, December 2nd, at Cava on Capitol Hill, at 7:30. Hope you can join us. Read more

What members are saying

People should join this group if they want to improve their Greek or even start learning some. Those who just want to meet other like-minded people should also consider joining!

Great mix of folks, both Greek-Greeks and Greek-Americans, professions and experiences. Great secular way to meet Greeks and practice the language.

“I recently became Orthodox, I am now becoming very interested in learning all that I can about Greek language, history, and culture, I think it seems fascinating. An intimidating endeavor, but it also seems like a lot of fun to attempt it! :-)”
