Yiassas!

Our MeetUp group, named after Hellenic basketball star Theo Papaloukas, meets once a month to speak Greek, discuss the progress of the Greek basketball and football teams and other phil-hellenic interests. We usually get together at a local taverna, or sometimes at private homes. We've also attended some Hellenic-themed events outside of the MeetUp, something we hope to do more of in the future.

Our group is mainly first- or second-generation Greek Americans, with a strong representation of State Department folks and environmentalists.

Join us to: meet other locals who speak and/or are interested in practicing the modern Greek language; eat some olives, cheese, pita bread; drink some Greek krasi; and find your Hellenic parea.
