There are two Hellenic events I did not include in my last email.

On Tuesday, November 3, 2009, Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will speak in Gaston Hall of Georgetown University (37th and O Streets, NW, Washington, D.C. 20057). No details on time or topic, though I think it will be on the challenges posed by climate change. For more on the Patriarch's visit you can go to www.usvisit2009.org.

And in Baltimore, the Walters Art Museum has a new exhibit entitled "Heroes: Mortals and Myths in Ancient Greece." The show highlights heroes and myths and runs from October 11th until January 3rd. My kids and I are planning a visit, probably on Sunday, November 1st. Let me know if you want to join us.
